3 Elements BJJ is proud to announce the Roy Harris Seminar on April 17th and 18th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.
Mr. Roy C. Harris is an expert in martial arts. He has actively studied more than twenty (20) different styles of martial arts from Brazil, Thailand, the Philippine Islands, Japan, France, Indonesia, China, Russia, and the United States. He is a Senior Instructor in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do Concepts and the Filipino Martial Arts under Sifu Paul Vunak, a 3rd degree black belt in Sho Shin Ti modes Karate under Sensei Larry Kurtz, a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Joe Moreira, and a Green Glove in La Boxe Francaise Savate under Professor Salem Assli. Seminar will be held in the Wrestling Team Matt Room in the Mercyhurst Athletic Center (MAC). Privates will be held in the Multi-Purpose / Martial Arts Room of the Mercyhurst Recreation and Fitness Center (REC). These two buildings are adjacent and attached to one another.

Congratulations to Marc Yates for competing in the NAGA "Battle of the Beach" on August 1, 2009. Marc took 1st Place in the Adult Heavyweight Purple Belt Division.
We would also like to congratulate our fellow affiliate teammates who also competed at "Battle of the Beach" Dave Arnold who had some nice wins in his first Advanced division, and Eric Cady who got 3rd place in the Mens Advanced fly-weight no-gi.
Congratulations to our blackbelt affiliate Kyle Saunders from Saunders BJJ in Rochester, NY who received 1st place in the Masters Advanced middle-weight no-gi and 1st place, Masters Advanced middle-weight gi.

Congratulations to our friend and former teammate Justin Wilcox who finished off David Douglas in an entertaining fight via a rear-naked choke in Round 3 at the Strikeforce fights on August 15, 2009. Justin the Silverback fought on the Cyborg - Carano card!
